Quality alloys endorsed by professionals
In the field of dental alloys, trust and experience are essential for our customers. The products manufactured by SEMPSA JP for this sector have been tested and developed for almost a century and continue to be the choice of professionals.
In dental alloys we work with noble metals, galvanic gold baths, facets, welding materials, etc. The objective is to achieve an excellent final product that helps users to increase their level of health and aesthetics with all possible guarantees.
Precious metal alloys
Our wide range of products for alloys with precious metals covers all the needs of professionals and patients:
- dental alloys with precious metals of the PLATINOR®, AUROPLADENT® and ECONOR® brands
- Gold plating baths of the Ecolyt (Gramm) brand
Indications:
- Inlays
- MOD, Onlays, Crowns
- Medium-span bridges
- Large-span bridges
- Milling technology
- Moulding model
Non-precious metal alloys
Our alloys meet the highest quality standards, with both precious and non-precious metals. We offer laboratories a total of five metal-free dental alloys:
- ecoNEM cast
- ecoNEM cast V
- ecoNEM classic
- ecoNEM nova
- ecoNEM star
Our commitment to the environment is total and we have removed certain components from our alloys such as nickel and beryllium because they are pollutants. In their place, we apply others that maintain the standards of corrosion resistance, compatibility and aesthetics. This last factor, together with the process of creating the alloys, are two fundamental aspects for us and they make it possible for us to offer unsurpassed quality at an affordable price.
Non-precious metal alloys
Our welding materials complete a wide range of components for alloys for professional application in dental laboratories. The quality and the final result are our main guarantees along with the satisfaction of our customers.
Dental-Legierungen PLATINOR K facets
The PLATINOR K facets are made from precious metal alloy. They are made up of 79.2% shiny yellow gold and are highly resistant to corrosion. The crown also features an alloy sheet offering unparalleled malleability and deep drawing.
They are highly ductile as they are subjected to heat treatments and different cold conditions. The price is calculated based on the current quoted price of gold.
Quality assurance
To check the quality of an alloy it is necessary some criteria need to be understood to ensure of that the best products are available. These are the factors to be borne in mind in terms of category and durability when purchasing a certain material. We have almost 100 years’ experience in the development and manufacture of dental products and this enables us to measure the quality of our products against any criteria, including the most demanding standards.
Skilled manufacturing processes
Sempsa JP has the necessary skills to become an absolute leader in the manufacture of alloys for different reasons:
We take full responsibility in the manufacture of each product
- Our future development
- Compliance with safety standards
- Strict quality controls
- Certified QM Systems
For these and many other reasons, we have no problem being evaluated in our manufacturing processes as we are sure that we will meet – and even exceed – all safety and quality standards.
Manufacturing that complies with current regulations
In the manufacture of dental alloys, biocompatibility is the most important thing for the optimal well-being of the patient. This requires the highest quality materials in the manufacture of these products and, of course, compliance with the most exhaustive regulations in force.
The standards under which we have developed and tested our alloys are the following:
DIN EN ISO 9693: Dental restorations with metal-ceramic systems.
DIN EN ISO 22674: Metallic materials for fixed and removable restorations and implants.
DIN EN ISO 9333: Welding materials.
Biological compatibility
We work with independent organisations with expertise in biocompatibility to regularly monitor our dental alloys. These are some of their inspection procedures:
- Cytotoxicity test: Growth inhibition tests in accordance with ISO 10993-5
- Sensitisation test: Irritation and sensitisation tests in accordance with ISO 10993-10
- Corrosion test: Static immersion tests in accordance with ISO/CD 10271
Arrangement of metal ions in eluted DMEM
These tests are very demanding and the results exceeded our own expectations. It was scientifically demonstrated that there is no risk of toxicity, skin irritation, or sensitisation. All studies confirm absolute reliability and confidence in Sempsa JP’s dental alloy manufacturing procedures.
Strict quality controls
We want all our products to be of the highest quality and we therefore have exhaustive analytical control procedures to avoid any objective risk. We analyse the chemical composition and purity of each molten alloy by batch to achieve the highest quality standards.
Our analyses are conducted using spectroscopic methods such as ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) and AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy). Thermal, strength and structural properties are also thoroughly tested. The batch number is used to track any product in case of need.
Certified QM systems
Dental alloys must comply with all kinds of regulations to guarantee optimal quality. These regulations include the following:
- MPG: medical device regulations
- European Directive 93/42/EWG
We comply with all current legal regulations and have exceeded the highest quality standards in our dental alloys. All our products bear the CE mark, established in the EU since 1998 to certify that the products have passed European tests on medical devices.
We also have specialized certifications such as DIN EN ISO 13485, which guarantees our quality management in the development, manufacture and distribution of our dental alloys. Another certification that certifies our commitment to quality is DIN EN ISO 9001. Further proof of our firm conviction in the manufacture of quality products that respect the current law. Our customers can fully trust us.
